The Southwest Chula Vista Civic Association was formed to provide a structured association for the residents, property owners, and business owners of the underrepresented Southwestern region of Chula Vista, to participate in the preservation, PLANNING, development and protection of the unique character of the area through community education and group action.

A summary of the policies adopted at past meetings in 2008 is that we support high quality development AND REDEVELOPMENT in the southwest.
We define high quality development as:
1. Development that protects the health and quality of life of existing residents and Businesses.
2. Development that is preceded or accompanied by the upgrading of infrastructure and public services.
3. A funding mechanism for ongoing maintenance of all infrastructure and public services.
We feel these are minimum requirements demanded by social, economic and environmental justice principles.

SOUTHWEST CHULA VISTA
Southwest Chula Vista is the area south
of L Street and west of the Otay Landfill.
When you see a Pothole, please call 397-6000. They will try to fill it within 48 hours. Of course if the street is in very bad shape there will probably be another to call about soon afterward.
We Need to Work Together To Get Improvements.
