Meeting
January 18, 2006
Our next
meeting will be at 6:45 at the Boys and Girls Club at 333 Oxford Street. During our January meeting we will be voting
on our Board of Directors. Theresa
Acerro will provide a Home Depot Update, and Noberto Salazar will update the
association on his survey of property owner interest in forming assessment
districts.
The Committee has filed a detailed
response to the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) as directed by the
membership from the December meeting. A
big thanks to Theresa Acerro and Ned Ardugna for all their dedication to this
project.
The SWCVCA is moving ever closer to
being recognized as a 501C3 organization.
The SWCVCA will receive a Taxpayer Identification Number and have a bank
account by our January 18th meeting.
SWCVCA’s
membership period began on January 1st. Anyone who signed up last
year is a member until January 1, 2008.
January 18: Port District and CV City Council will discuss
power plant replacement issues at 4PM at council chambers on Fourth and F.
January 22: Design Review Commission will make decision on Home
Depot. WE NEED TO HAVE A LOT OF PEOPLE At the meeting MAKING IT CLEAR
THAT THE WELFARE OF THE RESIDENTS MUST BE THE PRIME CONSIDERATION. THE TRUCKS
MUST BE KEPT OFF OF MOSS AND AWAY FROM THE BACK OF RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS.
January 24: Planning
Commission will discuss outdoor storage
for Home Depot at 6 PM at council chambers on Fourth and F.
