Minutes: May 31, 2007
1. Call to order: Thee meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by President Theresa Acerro.
2. Announcement: There
will be a fundraiser sometime this summer. Penny Bollinger will
head a garage sale and asked for volunteers to help with the event and for donations.
Date and time to be announced later.
3. Bill Perno from the
Concerned Parents Group gave a 3-minute talk about the Cheese Sandwich Meal
that is given to children in the district whose parents owe for their meals.
A letter of support was passed around for those who wanted to sign.
4. Theresa gave a Power Point
Presentation on Infrastructure. She suggested ways to pressure the
city would be to call, email, or
write letters to council with our ideas.
5. Theresa announced that the
owner of the Peaker Plant had declined our invitation to speak before the
group.
6. Ed Batchelder, Chula Vista
City Planner, gave a presentation on the Palomar Gateway Area and answered
questions.
7. A petition was passed
around for those wishing to join a lawsuit against the City of Chula
Vista in regard to the UCSP Environmental Document, the Growth Management
Ordinance and Infrastructure Problems.
8. Meeting adjourned at 8:55
