GENERAL MEETING

APRIL 27, 2009

                                      MAAC CHARTER SCHOOL
                                              ATTENDANCE-21

                  1:   Meeting began at 7:00pm with a solar energy presentation by Brendan Reid from the city.    Mr Reid gave an informative talk on benefits of installing solar energy, the initial costs & ways to reduce the costs with various government rebates, etc..  He answered questions from the audience.

                  2:   Theresa announced an April 30 meeting at the Orange Ave. Library, at 6:00pm with Redevelopment.   They are seeking input for the new five year plan.  Theresa asked those present for ideas.   Among those given was infrastructure & sidewalks.

                  3:   Motion was called for SWCVCA to encourage the Port & City to continue the EIR process as a program EIR that has reduced density/height  Harbor Park Alternative as the preferred plan.   Motion made by Marianna Lopez & seconded  Ruth Yacanelli.  Motion carried.

                  4:   Theresa announced that we need help with the Rehab Project (s) on Tremont St., on May 2 from 9am-5pm.   Otay Farms is providing the food.

                  5:   Next meeting will be May 18, 6:45pm at the MAAC Charter School.

                  6:   Meeting adjourned at 8:45pm on a motion by Ruth Yacanelli, seconded by Richard Pritchard.
